Adventure ride to Sandakhpu – West Bengal

I By:   I 10 months ago I   3 Comments I   North India, South India I   , This ride to North East started from Pune and i rode all the way from Pune to Kolkata.I had much time in my hand because i recently left my job and there wasn't any immediate job offer, perhaps no job offer at all.Ride till Kolkatta took its time in the slowest pace possible, catching up with friends and getting away with free food and stay was one of the main agenda and motivating factor for doing it in a slow and calm manner. First Stop at Hyderabad at a friend's place. That's vaibhav on the left and gupta ji on the right pouting his way to glory in the world of glamour. Golkunda Fort,Hyderabad. READ MORE

8 Days in Kerala – Exploring Idukki with the Duke – Day 6

I By:   I 3 years ago I   0 COMMENTS I   South India I   , , , , Day 6 - Periyar Yesterday ended with such a disastrous news and i was still in shock. We decided to stay at Periyar for today.I have been to Periyar couple of times..but never tried the boating fun on the Periyar reserve due to too much effort on getting the tickets.Since we had entire day at our expense,we decided to give it a try.Entrance gate of the Periyar tiger reserve was like 300-500 mtrs where we were staying. But the boating joint was around 2-4 kms inside from there. A new parking has come up 700-800 mtrs before the boating joint, earlier they used to allow the vehicles till the end.We parked our bikes and walked down through the thick plantation area and long trees. The most interesting thing i liked was the information display on the trees..Like what kind of trees they are, their family origin and other interesting details were fun to read. ...
